Vendor Engagement & The RFP Process

Q12: How do I use Pyramyd to contact vendors?
A: After you have reviewed the Vendor Matrix and selected the vendors that you want to engage, you proceed to the “Engage” tab. Here’s what happens:

  • Vendor Invitations: The system sends an invitation email to the selected vendors with a link to view a summary of your project and requirements.

  • Confidentiality: The buyer’s details remain anonymous (only essential info such as industry and high‑level requirements are shared) to prevent vendors from bypassing the platform.

  • RFP Responses: Vendors respond on the platform by answering your requirements directly. We even have (or are working on) an AI‑powered RFP response automation feature that can help vendors answer quickly.

  • Review Responses: Once responses are in, you move to the “Evaluate” tab to compare vendor responses side‑by‑side using our scoring and feedback system.

  • Final Selection: Finally, in the “Select” tab, you make your final choice and generate a comprehensive report of the evaluation process to share with your team or management.

Q13: Is there a cost to use Pyramyd for buyers?
A: No. Pyramyd is completely free for software buyers. Our revenue model is vendor‑based. Vendors are charged a fee to respond to RFP invitations on our platform. This fee is progressive and is structured as a percentage of the deal value (for example, starting at 5% for the initial engagement, with additional fees for further response automation or final commissions, subject to change based on deal size). This means buyers get a full, unbiased evaluation service without any cost.

Q14: I see some features labeled “On the Roadmap.” What does that mean?
A: For features not yet implemented in our MVP (such as full CRM integration, advanced in‑app collaboration tools, or comprehensive audit trails), you’ll see clear notes in our documentation that these are “On the Roadmap.” This means we are actively developing these features and plan to release them in upcoming updates. In the meantime, you can use all the core functions that are currently live
